Kirtan is a traditional Indian component of yoga in which the singing of sacred sounds evokes a sense of euphoria. Kirtan allows the mind to clear of all thoughts except for the chanting - the vibration created is a healing tonic for both the body and mind. Kirtan is followed by a loosely guided meditation allowing the mind to remain focused in the present moment; clear, open, awake.
